Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy)

Duration: 2 Years (Full-Time)
Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination.
Subjects required: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
Must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission.

The Diploma in Pharmacy is a two-year full-time program designed to prepare students for a career in pharmaceutical sciences. Biochemistry & Clinical Pathology
Human Anatomy & Physiology
Health Education & Community Pharmacy

Second Year Subjects:
Pharmaceutics–II
Pharmaceutical Chemistry–II
Pharmacology & Toxicology
Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence
Drug Store and Business Management
Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy

Practical Training:
A minimum of 500 hours of practical training must be completed in a government hospital or approved pharmacy for not less than 3 months after completing the second year.

Career Opportunities:
After successful completion, candidates can work as:
Pharmacist in hospitals and retail stores
Medical representative
Drug inspector (with further qualifications)
Pharmacy technician
Entrepreneur in own medical shop or wholesale pharmacy business
